EDU-MOMS.com
The "Why"
To Reserve for Speaking Engagements
As a child, I raced to the doors of the schoolhouse. Not due to my burning desire to acquire a greater knowledge in physics, but because school provided such an immense refuge from my reality, elsewhere. I fret to think of the statistics regarding how many persons have, are and/or will find themselves in that very same frame of mind. It is with THAT replaying movie in my head that I introduce Edu-Moms.com.

The difference in my day came in the form of the Educators in my life. I feel as though they truly molded me. Surprisingly, even their negative attributes contributed to my ever-evolving point of view. Education became more than a refuge after I realized that there was a way to use it to rise from the ashes of my childhood. Supported and driven, I am heavily indebted to those women for the individual that dwells in my skin.

After years of serving within Criminal Justice as a Sergeant and In-Home Therapist, I remembered the answer that I found for digging myself out of turmoil, many years before. My mind told me that Education was the key and my heart volunteered with the notion that my love for people is greater than the fear of totally jumping professions.

Today, I SERVE. I SEEK. I SURVIVE...within classrooms as well as inside of the comforts of my home. Purpose is EVERYwhere!! My day-to-day moves are about others and praying that my efforts prove to be enough for someone. I dedicate this website to each and EVERY person that places themselves in the life of the next generation and beyond. With that being said, WOMEN are leading the charge. No matter if you are a mother or not, you serve as a seen and unseen maternal figure, a motivator and an affirmative reason to achieve for many. Continue to push forward with progress and purpose. When you subtract the barriers to learning, you BECOME the difference!!

With ALL of my love,
Whitney Teyhlor
